About Cynthia Elkins
Professional & Community Involvement
Ms. Elkins holds many board and committee positions in various community and legal organizations. These include a three year board position including Vice Chair, Board Development with the Valley Cultural Center, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Small Firm and Solo Section of the State Bar, a District Director for the Conference of California Bar Associations, and is an active member of the Labor & Employment Law Section of the State Bar.
Ms Elkins serves as General Counsel for the Woodland Hills-Tarzana Chamber of Commerce and held a 4 year position on the Board of Trustee of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association.
Education & Employment History
Ms. Elkins graduated from Southwestern University School of Law and obtained a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge. Ms. Elkins has taught Labor and Employment Law for the CSUN Extension program.
From 1996 through September 1998, Ms. Elkins formed the Employment Law Litigation & Counseling Department of Pearlman, Borska & Wax in Encino, California and from 1987 through 1995 was the Senior Associate at an management side employment law defense firm in the San Fernando Valley.
Speaking Engagements
Cynthia frequently lecturers at state and national seminars for employers, trade associations and professional associations including the State Bar of California, and the Council on Education in Management.
